Tutorial: Auto-shoutout on Incoming Raid

Introduction: Enhance your streaming community engagement by setting up an auto-shoutout command for incoming raids on MixItUp. This tutorial will guide you through the process of creating a Shoutout Command that you can use to give recognition to fellow streamers during raids.

Step 1: Install, Open, and Setup MixItUp Begin by installing MixItUp on your system. Once installed, open the MixItUp application and follow the initial setup instructions. This software serves as a versatile tool for stream management, allowing you to create custom commands and automate various actions.

Step 2: Create Shoutout Command

  1. Click on the Menu icon in the upper left-hand corner of the MixItUp interface.
  2. Navigate to the “Commands” section and click “Add New Command.”
  3. Name your command, for example, “shoutout.”
  4. Choose a trigger, such as “SO” or “Shoutout,” tailored to your preferences.
  5. Craft a chat message template using variables like $targetusername, $targetuserurl, and $targetuserstreamgame to dynamically fetch information about the raided streamer.
    • Example chat message: “Hey, go checkout $targetusername! They have the Nerd Seal of Approval $targetuserurl! Last seen streaming $targetuserstreamgame! Make sure to drop them a follow!”
  6. Click “Save” to store the command settings.

Step 3: Configure Auto-shoutout for Raids

  1. Return to the MixItUp Menu and click on “Events.”
  2. Locate the “Twitch Channel Raided” event and click “Edit.”
  3. In the action configuration, choose “Chat Message.”
  4. Set the chat message to “!so $targetusername” to trigger the shoutout command when a raid occurs.
  5. Click “Save” to apply the changes.
