Tutorial: How to Connect Mixitup to OBS using WebSocket

To connect Mixitup to OBS Studio, follow these steps:

Download, Install, and Setup Mixitup:

  1. Download and install Mixitup on your system.
  2. Set up Mixitup according to your preferences.

Download, Install, and Setup OBS:

  1. Download and install OBS Studio on your computer.
  2. Set up OBS Studio according to your streaming needs.

Configuring OBS Studio:

  1. Open OBS Studio.
  2. Navigate to Tools > Websocket Server Settings.
  3. Click on “Enable WebSocket Server.”
  4. Take note of the port number specified in this section.

Security (Optional):

  1. To enhance security, click on “Enable Authentication.”
  2. Create a secure password and enter it.
  3. Click “Apply” and then “OK” to save the settings.

Configuring Mixitup:

  1. Open Mixitup.
  2. Click on the menu icon located in the upper left corner.
  3. Select “Services.”
  4. In the IP address field, ensure it reads: ws://127.0.0.1:4455.
  5. Verify that the port number (4455) matches the one noted in OBS Studio. If not, update the four numbers to match.

Connection Complete:

Now that you have successfully connected Mixitup to OBS Studio, you can utilize Mixitup to control scenes, filters, and various other features for an enhanced streaming experience.
