Tutorial: Automatically End Stream after Twitch Raid Completed using MixItUp

Ever found yourself in the midst of an amazing stream celebration, raiding another channel, only to realize you forgot to hit that crucial “End Stream” button in OBS? If that’s a familiar scenario, fear not – I’ve got a game-changing solution to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

Here’s a quick guide:

  1. Download, Install, and Setup MixItUp Streaming Bot:
    • Ensure you have MixItUp ready to roll.
  2. Download, Install, and Setup OBS:
    • Get OBS up and running on your system.
  3. Enable Websocket Setting in OBS:
    • This step is crucial – don’t skip it. Enable the Websocket setting in OBS to allow MixItUp to control OBS.
    • Open OBS – Tools > WebSocket Server Settings
    • Tick Enable WebSocket Server
    • (Optional) Tick Enable Authentication > Create a Password
  1. Open MixItUp:
    • Launch MixItUp to initiate the setup process.
    • Add OBS To MixItUp Services
    • Make Sure the IP address and Port Match OBS Websocket Settings
    • (optional) If you created a Password for Authentication Enter that in the Password Field
    • If you get a RED Alert that says “Please Enable OBS Services on the Services Page!”
    • Make sure OBS is Open and You have followed the previous steps on how to Add OBS to the Services Page.
  1. Open OBS:
    • Keep OBS open, as MixItUp needs access to set up controls.
  2. Navigate to Events in MixItUp:
    • Find and click on the Menu (hamburger icon) in the upper left-hand corner.
    • Click on “Events.”
  1. Add Command for Outgoing Raid Completed Event:
    • Find and click on “Add Command” (or edit if you’ve used our Outgoing Raid Completed Tutorial).
  1. Configure Action:
    • In the Action Drop Down, select “Streaming Software.”
    • For the Streaming Software Dropdown, choose OBS (Note: If you’d like a tutorial for Streamlabs, let me know, and I’ll create one for you).
  1. Select “Start/Stop Stream”:
    • In the Action drop-down, choose “Start/Stop Stream.”
  1. Save Your Settings:
    • Click the save icon to solidify your setup.
