Tutorial: How to Backup and Restore Your Mixitup Settings

Backing up Your Mixitup Settings:

  1. Download, Install, and Setup Mixitup: Ensure that Mixitup is downloaded, installed, and set up on your system.
  2. Open Mixitup: Launch Mixitup on your computer.
  3. Access Advanced Settings: Click on the gear icon located in the upper right corner and select “Advanced.”
  4. Backup Your Mixitup Settings:
    • Click on “Backup Settings.”
    • Choose a location for your backup. I recommend cloud storage like Microsoft OneDrive or Dropbox for accessibility, but you can also use a USB stick or a secondary hard drive.
  5. Set Automated Backup Location:
    • Find the option for “Automated Setting Backup Location” and specify the desired location. This can be a local folder or cloud storage.
  6. Set Automated Backup Frequency:
    • Locate “Automated Setting Backup Rate” and set it to a frequency that suits your needs. For example, you can choose daily backups.
  7. Finalize Backup Configuration: Mixitup will now automatically back up your settings daily to the specified location, ensuring your data is securely stored.

Restoring a Backup in Mixitup:

  • Fresh Install of Mixitup: If you have a fresh install of Mixitup, follow these steps:
    1. Open Mixitup.
    2. Option One: On the launch menu, click “Restore Settings,” and select the backup file. Mixitup will launch with the new settings.
    or
    1. Option Two: Open Mixitup, log into Twitch.
      • Click the gear icon in the upper right.
      • Select “Advanced.”
      • Find “Restore a Settings Backup” and click.
      • Locate your restore file on your computer.
      • Mixitup will reboot, and it may prompt that you are opening an additional Mixitup; click “OK” as the other instance will close itself.

By following these steps, you can easily backup and restore your Mixitup settings, ensuring you have a safeguard against data loss or system changes.
