Tutorial: How to Utilize the Giveaway Feature in Mixitup

Download, Install, and Set Up Mixitup:

• Access the menu button in the upper left-hand corner.
• Locate and click on “Giveaway.”

1. Configure Giveaway Settings:
   • Giveaway Item: Name your giveaway (e.g., “Steam Gift Card”).
   • Command: Set the command (e.g., !giveaway).
   • Total Time in Minutes: Specify the duration of the giveaway (e.g., 15 for 15 minutes).
   • Reminder Interval: Choose how often the bot sends reminders.
   • Max Entries: Define the maximum entries per person.

1. Additional Configuration:
   • Toggle “Require !claim” and “Allow Past Winners” as per your preference.
   • Optionally, modify usage requirements like VIPS, cooldowns, currency, and required users.

Star/Reminder Message:

1. Click “Edit.”
2. Customize the message creatively but include special identifiers.
3. Example: “A giveaway has started for $giveawayitem! Type $giveawaycommand in chat in the next $giveawaytimelimit minute(s) to enter!”
4. Click “Save.”

User Joined Message:

• Create a welcoming message for users joining the giveaway.
• Click “Add” in the action dropdown.
• Choose “Chat Message” and use the plus icon to add it to the command.
• Sample: “$username joined the giveaway for $giveawayitem!”
• Click “Save.”

Users Won Message:

• Click the edit icon.
• Personalize the winning message.
• Example: “Congratulations @$username, you won $giveawayitem!”
• Ensure special identifiers are preserved.
• Click “Save.”

Adjust and customize these settings to match your community’s style and brand while maintaining the necessary identifiers for the giveaway feature to function seamlessly.
