Tutorial: How to Create a Twitch Clip Command with Discord Integration using Mixitup Bot

Prerequisites

Before we get started, make sure you have Mixitup Bot installed and configured with your Twitch credentials. If you haven’t done this yet, visit the Mixitup Bot website and follow their installation and setup instructions.

Setting Up Discord Integration

1. Access Mixitup Bot Dashboard:
   • Click the menu button within the Mixitup Bot application.
2. Access Services:
   • Click on “Services” in the menu to navigate to the services section.
3. Discord Login:
   • Click on “Login for Discord.”
   • You’ll be prompted to log in to your Discord account.

3. Customize the Chat Message:
   • In the “Chat message” field, you need to include the special identifier from the clip command, which is “$clipurl.” You can get creative with the message. For example: “$username captured a special moment $clipurl.” This message will display the username of the clip creator.

Optional Steps

If you want to create a stream marker with every clip command for better organization:

1. Stream Marker Action:
   • In the “Actions” dropdown, select “Stream Marker.”

This will help you easily find clipped moments in your VODs for further adjustments.

Save and Finish

1. Save Your Settings:
   • After configuring all the options, click “Save” to save your Clip Command settings.
