Tutorial: Never Miss another Chat message on Twitch

Introduction

In this comprehensive tutorial, we will show you how to set up a chat message notification system to make sure you never miss a message again. Whether you’re using Elgato Wavelink or Steel Series Sonar, this guide has you covered.

Requirements: Before we dive into the setup, you’ll need the following:

  1. Mixitup Bot: Make sure you have Mixitup Bot installed.
  2. Audio Routing Software: You’ll need audio routing software. In this tutorial, we’ll use Elgato Wavelink as an example, but you can also achieve this with Steel Series Sonar.

Setting Up the Audio Track: We’ll begin by configuring the audio track in Elgato Wavelink. Follow these steps:

  1. Open Elgato Wavelink.
  2. Create an audio track (for this tutorial, we’ll use AUX 1).
  3. Ensure that the track is muted for streaming but not muted for your headphones.
  4. Adjust the track’s volume so that it’s just audible above your music levels.

Setting Up Chat Message Notifications: Now, let’s set up the chat message notification in Mixitup Bot:

  1. Open Mixitup Bot.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select “Notifications.”
  4. Locate the “Any Chat Message Sound” setting.
  5. Choose a notification sound of your preference (e.g., Ariel).
  6. In the “Notification Audio Output” section at the top of the list, select “Elgato Wavelink AUX 1” (or the corresponding audio track you set up in Wavelink).

With these steps completed, you’ll receive an audible alert for every chat message that comes into your chat. You may need to fine-tune the audio levels in Wavelink to suit your preferences better.

By following this tutorial, you can ensure that you stay informed and never miss another chat message. Whether you’re a streamer or a chat enthusiast, this setup will keep you in the loop with ease.
