Tutorial: Setting up a Random Sound for a Twitch Bit Alert

Embark on an auditory adventure and elevate your streaming experience by adding captivating sounds to your Twitch channel! In this comprehensive guide, we’ll walk you through the seamless process of setting up Mixitup for random sound playback. Whether you’re aiming to surprise your viewers with quirky effects or enhance your stream’s atmosphere, mastering the art of sounds is a game-changer. Setting up the Sounds

To begin, ensure that Mixitup is installed, set up, and signed into Twitch. Navigate to the upper left-hand corner and click on the menu icon. Proceed to “Action Groups” and click on “New Action Group.”

  • For the name, type “Random Sound.”
  • In the Group (optional) section, activate “Run One Randomly Toggle.”

In the Action Drop Down, locate “Sound” and click on the plus icon.

  • Within the action drop-down, select “play action.”
  • Specify the sound path on your computer.
  • For Audio Output, either retain the default setting or, if you use Elgato Wavelink, Steelseries Sonar, or another Audio Routing software, choose your preferred sound device.
  • Adjust the volume according to your specific needs, and utilize the play button to test the volume.
  • Finally, click “Save.”

Setting up the Random Bit Alert

Return to the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner.

  • For this example, we’ll focus on Twitch Bits, but note that this process is adaptable for Channel Point Redemption, Follower/Subscriber/Raid Events, or even Commands that trigger a sound.

Find and select “Twitch Bits” in the menu.

  • Click on “Add Command.”

For the name, label it “Random Sound.”

  • In the Number Range section, select the bit amount (e.g., 100).
  • Optionally, toggle the Number Range with a starting amount of 100 and an ending amount of 199.

In the Action drop-down, locate and select “Command.”

  • Choose “run command” for the type.
  • For the command, type “Find Action Group.”
  • Click “Save.”
